My wife and I went on our annual fall cruise in our 49 Dodge truck today. The 150 mile cruise was nice, but for the most part, the fall colors have mostly fallen. Nearly all of the trees around here were naked branches, but that really was not unexpected. All week we have been having 20 mph winds with gusts up over 30 mph and a few hard rain showers joining with the wind. Didn't really think you guys would want to see our naked trees, so no pictures.
So, we got our first pretty hard frost Sunday morning, Nov 2. After we went out for breakfast, we did the cruise through our local park, and I was surprised how much color has appeared in the last few days. We didn't have a camera or a phone with us at the time, and the windshield of the truck was pretty dirty anyway. I took my wife home, picked up my camera, washed the truck and went back through the park to take a few pictures through the now clean windshield. The gl*** on the 49 is tinted pretty dark, so the pictures don't really bring out the bright colors, but here are the pictures I took. ^ This picture is just outside of the park, at the gulf course. The last picture is of my house.
Now that it's fall, the weather is perfect. Wife and I went for a drive in the sporty car. It was fun!
