they didn't just cut out the wheelwell looks like the entire 1/4 was cut below the bead line [IMG]
so are those even replacement panels or just sheet metal? forensically you can date the build by whether repro 1/4's were used and by the filler used ...bondo or lead? Also imo it looks too "clean" to have been done in the '50's...so I'm going to wager that the 1/4s were done at some date later than the channel....but I do think there were some fenders welded there and someone in the '80's cut them off and made new 1/4s and added the point at the back....I'm going to go with mid to late 60's hot rod turned '80's -'90's pro street...keep us posted!

You could be totally correct, I have found no other info on the car yet.

the quarters could definitely be sheet metal, they did a pretty nice job. The wheel wells were bolted on the newly formed lip.
    I’ll get better photos

Is there any Metallic Blue paint on the body? There was a channeled 3Window here in town in the late 1960's, changed hands a few times and was wrecked in Redding, Connecticut, trail ended there. Bob

I remember a blue one [about same blue as in "post reply" box] near here in center of CT. Wethersfield actually. Owned by Dave Raymond, Would have been around 1960-63. I was about 12/13 or so and only saw the car for short periods of time so don't remember exact details, cycle front fenders, maybe rear too, OHV engine, Dave may have been around twenty and bought the car running, maybe out of New Britian, CT. Pretty sure Dave was a body man, don't know where he worked but every car I ever saw him in was customised, 56 Ford when I met him, later years in various Corvettes. He didn't have the 3window that long, maybe one summer, traded it for a Harly.

The one detail this 3Window had was the cut ch***is at the firewall, with the front of a 1935 Dodge welded to it with the two spring Dodge tube axle and all. This was 1968, what did people know back then.
