  2. That car is so cool, I love it. I put my cars away last weekend. Kind of a bummer, but when spring comes it's like a whole new car when you take it out for the first drive after winter.

It is getting depressing up here. There's no sun.....ever. Rains all the time. But yeah, if you put your hot rod away for the winter, you're like a kid on Christmas when spring rolls around for that first drive of the season.

I put one away, and keep one going...that way I can run the **** out of one when we have those rare nice days in winter. I remember a few years back before I had my second car, it hit almost 60 degrees a few days before Christmas. I could have kicked myself for putting my car away.

Hey I drove the indian truck to the shop today so I could work (mostly look at it) on the 46 sedan. FKSTER came over and checked out the sedan, so I really did not get anything done. :) DAD got it buffed out and made it really shiny. I left at noon to get a nailhead motor and some drums. I am not ready to put the truck away just yet.

You guys don't all drive your cars year round? Why not? Winter is fun. When else can you drift a 4400 LB 117 HP boat? :D

Well, I'm putting a snow plow on my 50 Dodge 4x4. Might as well make it useful, its going to be out all winter.

I'll probably move the coupe closer to the garage (but still outside) for its winter parking. There is just something wrong with snow covering your hot rod though.

remember Gene'o buddy, snow on your rod is better than dust on your tool :p

on the winter storage issue, mines been in winter storage mode since two days before the HAMB drags...

i GOTTA get my *** outside and stop letting mama Fiddy talk me into the home improvement thing... nah, she's been pretty good to me this year, what with the blank check for the willys, buyin me a brang new dodge 1500 quad cab 4x4, not to mention all the money for tools and little **** over the last year.

it'll be ready come spring, even if i gotta tie her to a chair while i work on it so she cant stop me :p

Yea, it's hard to believe that the 4 days of summer have come and gone here. Seemed like only 2-3 hours ago the snow was melting and I was looking forward to summer. Oh well, I'll just keep driving the '32 until the front bumper starts doing the snow plow thing. I'm sure if I ever get a roadster done I'll want to park it before Christmas. :D

Put Lucy the Chrysler away for the winter yesterday - goin' thru withdrawal symptoms today.

On the way to Pop's barn, a guy inna Mercedes tried to p*** her; fortunately she was rollin' already. Whapped the throttle plates open and managed to hold off the black beastie as we rolled up to redline in 1st gear (two speed PowerFlite trans; shifts at 70 MPH, BTW)

He rolls alongside at the next lite.

'Whatizzat?', he asks as he jerks a thumb at Lucy.

    '55 Chrysler.'

'Y'know, I tried to pull up alongside you at the last lite...'

    'Yeah?'

    'That damn thing's pretty quick!'

'Yup - they were pretty sparky cars in their day.'

If you're gonna put a car away for the winter, it's best to do it on a high note - and showin' a Mecedes driver the old girl's got beans was good enough for me!
