I liked the yellow wheels better than the black ones, but i dont like black wheels. Yes on the chrome rings they help some.

  5. Nice revival. Too bad about the 6 year wait. I would have thought you would catch some grief for the trailer tires on the rear. How about a pin stripe on the wheels, less expensive and more individual than trim rings. Enjoy the ride.

No doubt. Pretty sure I have been the recipient of a couple good deals even this year when it came to someone wanting the vehicle to go to the right person, not just the highest bidder.

Quick little tune-up today, flushed the cooling system, straightened some brake rods and adjusted the brakes, I love working on this car, got a cruise in tomorrow morning in the next town over, all ready to rock! Snapchat-2124501577.jpg Snapchat-1156019352.jpg

    UPDATE!
So I was stuck down in Orlando for Chrysler technician training (work stuff) for these last few days, and I just so happened to stumble across this "old Ford motor" for sale on Facebook, made a deal with the guy and threw it all in the back of the econo-box rent-a-car (I got the insurance so its okay lol) and lucky for me I got myself a 52-53 EAB Flathead V8 and matching 3 speed transmission, engine is super clean, seems to have a few stuck valves, but will make a great mill for my Model A.

Oh, and while I was cruising around town aimlessly, I found a sweet little car collection in the middle of a strip mall... arcade.... go karts? Thing?? I have no idea, I live too deep in the sticks for all that, but anywho.. enjoy these pictures I took!

Some interesting cars in that collection!

If you are going to pull all the banger gear out of the car, stash it if you can, you never know you might find yourself hankering for a banger T in the future.

Greg Stokes tell's the story well here.

I believe there is a build thread here?

and a good chance you would beat him. Nobody gives the banger a chance but with the right set up there a lot of fun to drive. Just changing the trans behind the banger would make a world of difference.

either way, it would be a fun road trip .....and a friendly compe***ion if my challenge is accepted
and I used to regularly attend an old truck meet where a gymkhana race was held and the slowest truck won...I don't envision this to be who has the deepest compound gear combination....but the details have yet to be worked out
but I agree....bangers are fun and can be 'fast'

Nice ride you got there. You could hop up the banger while you are getting speed parts and machine work on the flathead

I love stories about getting cars from old timers years after the first offer.
