Can we have a talk about "Shorties"?

Gotta say I like this one, was in the ‘post entry’ section in a ‘70s Hot Rod mag. Would be better with the rear axle back 8 inches, but yeah I’d drive it.

 

I know this is about Shorts, but that stretched out Ranchero is soooo cool!

 

Seams like a hell of a waste of some cool old cars ???

Shorties aren't a waste of resources at all. Many times they're made from vehicles that were considered worthless and found a new life as abbreviated cars. A far better outcome than being junked.
