Good Morning. This Fuel Pump is from my 1966 Chevy 327-300 HP engine. I'm looking for a Rebuild Kit that will work with today's Ethanol & other fuels I might have to use in the near future. I don't know the GM Part Number for this Fuel Pump. I've seen several different Part Number's for Fuel Pumps that look similar. I want to make sure I buy the correct Rebuild Kit the first time as they are over $100.+ Thank you for your help. From Dustin (1Nimrod)
Clean it off really good and there should be a number stamped on it. Usually on the sides of the mounting flange. Give that number to the place that has the rebuild kit, and they should be able to get you the correct kit.
@BJR I think it might be on the lower flange, opposite the Made In USA shown, which is also where the IN and OUT are cast. A through cleaning should find it. Good luck. What is the engine going into? I'd get the pump for that....so the lines will be in the right places. Some small block Chevy applications need a pump with the lines in a special place, others are not so picky. If I could use a pump that is available at any parts store, that's the one I'd choose. Using a pump that needs to be rebuilt has been the wrong path to go down for me....I've been through that on a variety of old cars recently, and generally end up running an electric pump to keep the car running under all conditions. good luck.
Yep, I thought Hmm, HP and rebuildable, great! OT mopar. Then the inlet/outlet didn't align at all and clocking it didn't fix it. Since OP doesn't have the original, they will have to go with the one called for, but unless they go with OG resto part # and have the OE line to carb, it's a toss up if the parts store cross reference is exactly right or just a supersede = one size 'fits' all.
The pump you have is likely for a different vehicle, so you really want to start with a pump that is designed to fit your truck. There have been a bunch of different small block pumps made over the decades to fit different cars and trucks. Trying to use the wrong one just leads to trouble.
This Carter Fuel Pump below is Ethanol compliant and it looks alot like the Fuel Pump I already own, a bit different on the bottom mine having two screws and this Carter one I believe. All of the ones made today are ethanol compatible, but all of them will suffer if you leave them sitting unused for years with fuel in them. You just gotta drive them. Make sure the housing is pointed the right way so the hoses on the truck will reach it. Some vehicles are not too picky, but the 327 in my 62 Corvette is in there pretty tight, and needs just the right pump.

If I remember correctly that double water inlet was used on the Big C30's and up, reminds me of how the C10's had the first 292 in 63, the 292 had that extra coolant line off the water pump on the driverside back into the top, my 63 292 engine extra coolant line was plugged off and used for a water temperature probe on top and the other end plugged with a air valve to help burp the air out of the coolant system. Missouri Farmer engineering at its best, all Farmer's make do with what they have on hand that's how I was tought when growing up working on our Farm. Dustin
