Drove Buford to the Antique Truck Show at the Owl's Head Museum in Maine. It was a wonderful venue. Lots of fantastic cars in the museum along with Biplanes and Triplanes flying! A diverse ***ortment of trucks in the show. (no other COEs :-( ) The coastal drive along Route 1 was incredible.

Jackie drove on the highway headed home and says "the steering seems to have more play than it should".. Yup, she's my regular tester... lol.. I check it out at home and one of the Isuzu spline shaft couplings had loosened up and was eating it's splines... GREAT, I gotta find one of those from a 1998-2002 Isuzu Rodeo...

No local yards had one, but Jack's down in M*** thought they might.. Go there... "There should be a 1998 and a 2000 out there"... Where are they? On the left somewhere... Oh boy.... This is a big yard.... Wander along the left side of the yard and eventually stumble onto what looks like a Rodeo... Badges were gone, I wasn't sure... Find something that looks like Isuzu scrawled on the back gl***... Hmm... is it a Rodeo.... I look around at the front end in the dirt and see no wheels, what appears to be missing front end and steering components.... ****... I look up at the roof and there it is!!! The entire front clip cut off the truck INCLUDING THE REVERSER!!! 4 bolts, no crawling in the mud and I got the part...

    Sometimes you get the bear!

And on the price.... Driving down I'm thinking "It should be $25, but prolly will be $50 and since I think it's going to be $50, it will be $75. It was $75.

New coolant tank installed and seems to be successful. Donor panel for hood rot cut and ready to go..

A local drive-in was rented by a car club. They had a car show and showed American Graffiti. Pretty cool.

My wife started out thinking green, but I have not seen one that I like... However, then I thought "what about the Jade Idol??"... What could possibly be wrong with a Winfield nod? ChatGTP tried to fade the car, but kinda randomly splotched it instead. Then I asked it to sparkle the fins with green... I think this one has possibilities...

Sort of 2 tone 50s vibe with over the top metalflake like a 1980s b*** boat.

A little more playing... It messed with some of the dimensions and didn't paint the door fin bit white but you get the idea... This is just crazy enough that it might be a winner...

This one is a little more realistic...

Changed the oil in Buford yesterday. Forgot I needed to tilt the cab to put in new oil. The linear actuator is less than happy about tilting it without the engine running, but it got it done...
