Recently I read the first Beetles that were sold in the US came here in 1949, many sold in the '50s. Bet it felt ''small'' driving one on the roads where literally every other car was a larger vehicle.

Just had our annual Wag Nats event, 5 days of camping/sleeping in your wagon. Very fun but back to work to recover now

 

I bought this 1953 Pontiac wagon as a project back in 2019, swapped in a 1955 Pontiac 287 and 1956 Pontiac Strato-flight hydra-matic a**** a bunch of other stuff done to it. It'll be a driver this year.

 

Different! Your work looks nice and tidy, like it was born with the 287 and automatic. Like the patina, too.

My 1965 Buick sport wagon the called the roof sky view. Getting ready to put a SBC and overdrive trans in it. Waiting for some warmer weather.
