I've said it before, some of these posts just seem like "any old car for sale". But the Willys above, that one is interesting and inexpensive. Sure it's a sedan, but it's steel, all there, and****led under $4k. Lots of these have been made into 3W coupes by ambitious metal shapers. I like that one.

I've heard those systems are not cheap or easy to revive.

Judging by the prices I've seen here lately, this surely qualifies as "Inexpensive" as well as "Interesting". I can't get a link, but here's the information.

1957 Studebaker Provincial Wagon Project - $3,000 (Yucca Valley)
1957 Studebaker Provincial Wagon Project. Come and get it, as-is, not running. Bought 7 years ago in Riverside as a "rescue". Time for someone else to take it on. Original black plates HWY275, not currently registered in DMV system, but have original small "pink"****le and registration showing plate belongs to vehicle. Will be sold on bill of sale only, two previous owners have not****led the car, but have the signed original****le from owner prior to that. Lots of parts in the back of wagon, all looks pretty complete. Price is firm take it or leave it. Message for appointment to see.

If that one was closer, I’d be buying it. Except for the five spokes, it looks just like my very first car! Same color, mine had a nice plain black interior. It still had the flathead but an Olds engine was on my to do list. Mine was missing all of the side trim, the sellers accidentally mother drove over it. I paid $65 for mine, lawn mowing money.

I'd like to see a rear shot of that with the tailgate up. It looks like there is a boby extension and the fenders are longer. I've never seen one like that before.

six ball, look closer it looks to me as though the tailgate is up and the car has an extension between the fenders

Ok, Thanks that is what I was looking for. Other than being a 4 door the station wagon roof, windows, upper & lower tail gate look the same as '54 and later. With the extended fenders I guess they had to fill the space between the tail gate and the bumper with something. With the limited space in those wagons I wonder if they touted this as extra luggage space. I guess as a '57 it may have had a 289ci option. Plenty of room for a McCulloch under that hood.
