that's amazing! It is a pity you can't find those things anymore. I 've seen something similar in a grandin road few weeks ago, but of course the materials are not the same, you can clearly see it.
found an abused and forlorn pair of end tables at a thrift store for $4.99 each couple hours of love and they get a new lease on life
thanks, the couple hours may be a slight under statement. refurbish involved complete dismantle, strip and sand, oxalic acid to remove water stains, wood filler on minor flaws, more sanding, stain, wipe on poly and reassembly. they still show some wear and signs of use but I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out.
My daughter has a grandfather clock that belonged to her grandmother on her mother’s side. It was not working so I repurposed it to a curio cabinet , she is displaying the hand carved birds that my Mom made
My Parent bought this German "Shrunk" liquor cabinet back in the late 50's ... made two trips back and forth between Germany and the U.S. while my Dad was in the USAF... Dad passed away in 2013 and my Mom in June... didn't have room for it.. sold it to a great couple that was excited to have it..
My wife picked up two walnut surfboard style tables. We haven't even finished unwrapping one of them yet, but they look really nice
2 Barcelona chairs we got from my aunt. They are later versions, not the original 30s ones. We didn't have room for them, so they were sold. They are quite comfortable.
