Event Coverage Albany, Oregon Swap Meet. 11-15-25

I stayed home. I really like the Albany swap meet. Friday we raced gokarts at our private 1/8th mile dirt track at my daughter and son in law's place. This morning my son came over and we dropped 2 juniper trees then I pushed the 7 ft trunks over with my old Ford 640 tractor. Son bucked up the usable firewood then we loaded all the limbs and root balls on my car trailer and took them to same daughter's place and piled them on the big burn pile for tonights huge bonfire! After finishing that while parked next to our track, I told my son my kart was in the back of my pickup if he wanted to do some laps. He did of course! That was about 2pm. Then son in law brought his karts down. Then my son headed back to my house and loaded his kart on my aluminum trailer along with 2 of my other karts and my grandson's kart and brought them to the track. My son, 2 grandsons, son in law and I raced until too dark to see. Ran home and had dinner, then back to the track for the bonfire until almost 9pm. Sorry I missed the swap meet but we had a great day!

It was fun, bought some treasures. Ran into tons of old friends. Gets a little overwhelming. Feeling a little miffed that i didnt stop and say hi, sorry @Marty Strode i fully intended on it. When i get to filming AND shopping AND stopping to say hi to 30 people... I forget a lot

BTW, be very leery of any bumper place that has a store in California (southern). I bet that "bumper lady" is related to the infamous "bumper boyz".
