Did you buy the cable ends and solder pellets from batterycableUSA too ? I did and they all worked great, they didn't offer one of the sizes I needed and was another reason I bought that crimper cutter set, which also did a great job.

    I use cable cutters .
I use them to cut a ring around the coating and pull that off I then cut a second thin ring and pull it down to the very end but not off. That keeps the copper strands together and tight so the crimp or solder in cable end goes on with out frying the strands once its on I cut the thin ring away.

I use crimped that you hit with a hammer and shrink tube over that.
Thats how I do hundreds of cables a year for electric forklifts and automotive.

Some ends require solder. Be sure you use rosin core solder. DO NOT USE ACID CORE

These type of crimpers work well with a 3lb hammer.

Don't forget to put the shrink tube on first.

No, I had lugs crimped on one end and hope to use these on the ends I cut to length. upload_2025-11-18_12-12-7.jpeg

Did you cut the insulation first then use the cuter for the copper?

Was going to buy this based on the recommendation from @swade41.

Its a good deal and it has the crimper....

When I went to Amazon to get one, another one with a video of it being used caught my eye. I already have a hydraulic crimper, so I decided to buy this one for $27

I liked the ratcheting action shown in its video. Both of them are good buys
