There's 50 shops in this county that do collision repair, I've had my fill of it lol. Generally nothing "newer". The blue truck is something I bought to fix and sell.

IMG_3670.jpeg IMG_3669.jpeg IMG_3671.jpeg IMG_3672.jpeg And now sometime totally OT, 20 years ago I sold a friend the hunting knife at the top of the first photo with out a sheath. Every time we see each other he forgets to bring the knife or we just forget about it. Anyways this summer at our annual get together at his ranch I tell him “Remember the knife” nope he forgets it at his house in town, but says hey I have another knife I need a good sheath for, the Bowie in top photo. He mailed the Hunter a couple weeks ago. I made him a sheath for each knife. So a 20 year saga comes to an end.:)

I have been working on my Tahoe and I knew there was no way I was able to put the tires back on by myself. I had a extra floor jack head so I added some flat stock and that saved the day. Rolled those big old 20's up a couple boards onto the jack and they were DSCN2770.JPG DSCN2772.JPG DSCN2774.JPG DSCN2768.JPG ready to go.

Drivers with no insurance probably have a net worth in the single digits. He should have gotten a ride in a cop car, but I doubt that happened.

YIKES. I got rear ended in the company truck a while back. Was sitting at a light and glanced in the rear view to see a big-*** Mercedes Sprinter hauling *** straight for me. Had time to let off the brake before he bent our F150 in half.... knocked the spare tire out of the bed and forty feet up a parking lot. Dude never even touched the brakes.

20251118_185103.jpg The 307 is all stripped down ready for the machine shop. It will be pretty trick when it's done... forged pistons, good rods, hydraulic roller and a set of aluminum heads that are matched up with the bore size. Why you may ask? Because I can I suppose. Plus when I tell em it's 313 cubic inches it will be fun to see the puzzled looks:p

I hated those old headliners from 80's-90's, always fell down. I bought a car once someone had stapled back up- Yep little staple dents on top of roof!

My Daughters Toyota 4x4 in on the lift again. Not paint this winter, new engine time. She was complaining about lack of HP, she wasn't imagining it. Compression test had 3 holes with 120 (should be 170-175 in these 22R motors), one had 50. Leak down test had the best cylinder at 68% leakage and that 50 pound hole had 98% leakage.

Head off, had a burnt valve in #2 (the low hole). Head at the machine shop and a rebuild kit coming for the bottom end with new rings. Cylinders look nice, very minor ridge, it will get the once over and get popped back together. I am eliminating the EGR stuff, building block off plates to tidy things up. I am thinking about giving that aluminum valve cover a little "spit shine" while it is off. I just can't resist.

I just bought a 2012 Sierra 1500 off the back lot at work in pretty nice shape for a northeast truck, and I got it for $800 because the 6L80E had given up. I’m putting a used transmission in it and then I’ll either daily it or make some money off it
