Has anyone used the new Laser machines? Are they strong enough for automotive steel? I'm at the stage of my restoration where I will start my welding. I am working with a 1938 Dodge Humpback panel truck. I'll be doing some frame and body welding. I have a 110 V MIG welder. Most that I've read says that a MIG is all I need to do the job. But the Laser looks easier to handle. Thanks in advance.
It looks like a good machine to use once it's learned. But I don't think that I could own one because some of my friends are ***holes and they would play star wars and laser tag and I would end up with a bunch of holes and burn marks on my garage walls and floor. And I know someone would shoot it into the sky aiming at the moon or a star and would hit a plane. ***HOLES!
They look interesting, but I can't swing the price and will wait till one of the big guys, (Lincoln, Miller, Esab) offers one that I can afford, but they are impressive.
