Good luck, hopefully it's civil, I've been through that a couple times. Well, the second technically wasn't a divorce since we never married (learned from first), just lived together for 15, but life is much better now.

I'm polishing a pair of these for chrome prep and realizing I'm not qualified for this job at the same time. Hahaha.

I'm a member of that club too, funny thing is that after my divorce my exwife's sister lined me up with her husband's sister who also went thru a divorce about the same time and I ended up marrying her and we've been married for 44+ years!

  11. I was in downtown Kansas City at a friend's restaurant a day after my divorce was finalized, celebrating with fried chicken livers and gin and tonics. I was a reporter at a small-town newspaper, pleased with how life was turning out - including the end of a joyless marriage. Then we heard the sirens and I said to my friend, "Not my beat. Don't need to chase the emergency tonight because it isn't of interest to my readership 40 miles away." Turns out the Hyatt Skywalks had collapsed killing more than 100 people and severely injuring scores more. I was five blocks away. Very quickly we learned what had happened. I swung by the tragedy on my way home that night, realizing it was one of the biggest breaking news stories in my 17-year career. Kinda put divorce in perspective.

I’ve been blest with a great spouse . Next week we will celebrate 39 years together. I wish those who are going through a divorce all the best and may you find someone to share your life with. Since the Boss has removed all other threads . The need for a place for the human connection and support will show up in threads . Y’all have a wonderful day .

I've been cleaning the grease and grime off the 57 frame, factory paint still on it. Not that it matters because it's getting repainted anyway, but neat to see.

I think today I'll try and pull the pitman arm and steering box so I can get in there around that, see how that goes.

Took my car for the last ride of the year. Put it in storage. Now I can pull the carbs off and rebuild them. I’m also waiting on paint from Eastwood to finish my hood and grill shell. IMG_0151.jpeg IMG_0157.jpeg IMG_0136.jpeg

Spent a couple days patching it up and priming it. Can’t believe it’s still warm enough to work outside up here in the great Northwest. Winter will arrive any day now
