Folks Of Interest Matt from Strong's Garage in bad accident.

Its been a while. How is Matt doing?

 

I have JUST found this thread, and am not sure how I missed it. Hope everything is better and a speedy recovery was had.

In 2008, I bought a 53 Monarch from Matt. He brought it to Calgary where we exchanged a bank draft for the Monarch, that I drove home. I could be wrong, but him and his friends may have trailered the Monarch to Calgary in the same truck, a 66. He and his buddy were very enthusiastic young guys, who gave you hope for the future of this hobby.

Well, there has been no updates on the Strong's Garage YT channel. I don't do the IG,FB and other stuff.
However, Cold War Motors did have a video that mentioned that he was home recovering and had taken part in an activity that was not shown due to the rapid gas discharge projectile content that YT hates. More censorship for ads.

EDIT: He is still on the mend, but is able to say thanks.

 

That's a good, short video. He is pretty upbeat, and briefly describes some of the injuries he sustained - Thank God for modern trauma medicine!

 

Anyone know how Matt is? Not sure why but he jumped into my thoughts today.

No update on their socials. Haven't been up that way since before winter.

 

I don’t know Matt or Jim, I only know Dean!

 

Quick update. Been chatting with them on Insta and Matt is on the mend slowly and is hoping to be back in the workshop in April sometime. Not sure how much time after that they will be putting out content on youtube.

 

Woohoo they are back on youtube, sounds like a long journey for Matt but he is back at it. So stoked for him and all around him.

Woke up this morning and it was 1st up in my subscriptions.

 

Glad he survived...that looked beyond nasty...what happened to the others involved? It's beyond crazy out there these days...

 

So happy for the recovery for Matt. I'm sure it has been a tough one.

I have heard nothing about the other vehicle and oocupant(s).

Probably better they don't dox whoever it was. Matt is well known and liked. Don't want someone to go vigilante. Better to make sure Matt and his family are supported during his recovery.
