    One of my favorites. It's disappointing, how quickly a very well-done rod can turn ugly.

    Seeing the Mitchell Model A and the McMullen 32 are enough reason for panel striping to make a come back.

    Yeah - there are 2 paths (theoretically) available to a new owner of a nicely finished hot rod:

    1. Maintain it essentially as-is, maybe with tiny improvements;
    2. Change it to your taste:
    A. Car is improved (McMullin's original roadster);
    B. Car is f%^&ed up.
    If the new owner is into showing the car, 2B was the inevitable result.

    What a gorgeous car! It deserves to be brought back to life to its former self. And the Don Emmons photography ain’t bad either.

    I believe that not too exciting dropped tube axle is an original Bell Auto Parts tube axle. Just like the one I have in my 5w

    And I love the style of this roadster. I plan to build a 60's style roadster after the 5w is done.

    Very cool car! Too bad it isn’t still the panel painted version. I would have to take it back to look like the early pic.

    don't think I've ever seen the Mickey Thomson valve covers for the (late) 371-394 Olds before.
    surprised nobody has bought it yet
    I'm sorely tempted..
