Our reliability run will be #3 next year. We had such a blast on ours. You'll love it!

I feel like I am trying to find words to write a eulogy…

Can’t even begin to say how much fun it was. It was great seeing everyone again and meeting some new faces. The weather was perfect.

    Some of my favorite parts:

We all drove down the hill in Weston and parked at the bottom by the railroad station. As we all gathered together and hoofed it up the hill into town, the dozen or so of us rough characters walking up the street and the church bell ringing high noon. Eerie.

Tuck and the fudge lady, who was studying to take the bar exam for her dental hygienists license…

The tour guide at the Thomas Hart Benton house “Mr. Benton liked to paint the common man, doing common things…” sounded like he was our kinda guy.

Hanging at the Liberty Memorial (World War 1), and seeing the Western Auto sign fire up for the evening.

Seeing the ’30, ’32, and ’33 fenderless coupes sitting in front of Kevin’s house at dusk. All flatties with 3 speeds, all 5 windows. All so similar, yet all so very different.

Thanks so much Kevin and Missy for setting it all up. Thanks to everyone that made it out.

    Viva la HAMB.

So what I want to know is, did the flag survive? Did it make it safely to Canada? I hope no eyes were injured in transit :D .

Good point. Guess that makes Tuck's 34 our flagship. Who was it that took a picture?

  5. Naw I'm not pre 35, I rounded that corner about 16 or 17 years ago. But the wife says I don't look a day over 50.:D

The deal is there are a bunch of us here and the run would be impossible if it exploded like the drags, so a few get invited. No sign up, no roll call, hell you don't even got to be the fonz, just hang and be yourself. When your number comes up you'll make the trip.

Now onto bigger and better things, Raven did you touch those pics? I'm damned embarresed? I was around the Tucks ride all day and never even noticed the old jalopy had any color on it at all. Tuck I'm sorry all to hell bro I shoulda been paying attention.

BTW did you get that chicks number? I ran into an old aquaintence at the school today and he really desereves to meet her. :D

    Picture?????

Kevin- you rule... your family rules and so does your house. I thank you for letting me crash over in the haunted room. I woke up wide awake at 3:00am... later Kevin explained to me that its the WITCHING HOUR and the ghost likes to Mock the Holy Trinitiy?? This TRUE??? Scared the **** out of me regardless... hahaha.. KEVIN THAT YOU??? dont worry dude I always JUMP OUT OF BED crazy in the morning... especially on an event like this!

I always thought that Pink Elephants were Hemi's painted pink, but apparently they hold tooth brushes too...

    p.s.-Ryan- Schwinn loved me.

I got a good pic outside before we left...
    Thanks Kev... for everything!

No idea on the owner of the car.......it was parked next to the road while I was getting greasy tacos.

    Fiddy,
Sorry, no parts. They only sell cars, but what do you need? I may go back and chat with the guys this weekend.

Oh this is where I ran out of gas... later I said to Kev... of all the places and times to run out of gas that spot was the PERFECT TIME... thanks Jay for having a gas can in your car with gas in it... haha all that Sight guage technology down the drain, saved by the guy with a paint stick gas guage.

The lineup ended up being pretty cool...

Tuck those pics rule, was cool finally hanging out with a Mad Fab celeberty.

Moments before this picture was snapped, Kevin was standing on his roadster taking pics and rolling his car by pushing off his tire. He did this down the whole row of cars.

I also have to thank Kevin's wife for putting a round-a-bout in our travels. Thanks porkn****** for letting back in line after I found my way of that circular traffic pattern.

Of the many many threads covering some event, this one take the blue ribbon. Not only were you driving around my old stomping grounds, without a doubt, you guys were having the time of your life. Thank you all for sharing not only pictures, but the comments also. They help us to feel almost like we were a part of the whole thing. The HAMB is a great thing in which to be involved.

    hey beeno...
when I left "Kanada" It was 16 degrees F...
    CHILLY???
that **** was BALMY in the AM...
I think you guys talk SOFT hahaha...

Jolene and I took the 34 to the next one horse town and got a bite to eat tonight... it was misting and 39 degrees if we were lucky. I thought tonight was nice compared to anything below 30...

    HiBoY is just ********...

I was joking about the that thing got a hemi- a couple people had asked if the flathead was a hemi... I would say no its a flathead and then they would ask whats a flathead... so joking I'm like next guy that asks I'm gonna say YEAH its a HEMI.

Just before the end of this trip... guess what... KEVIN HEARD IT TOO.. hahaha...
SO here goes one of my high lights of the trip:

this guy rolls up in a truck at a red light...
    Hey... that a 426 hemi?
and I said YEAH... it is with a big smile...

He flipped out and yelled HELL YEAH- a REAL 426 HEMI... HOT DAMN LOOK AT THAT... and he was YELLING THIS...

hahahahaha IT RULED... and only cuzz Kevin heard it loud and clear.

    ...
When Kev, Jay and Jeff and I went out to eat that night we were hanging out in a parking lot when a teenager and his girlfriend backed into a van in the parking lot...

haha... he took off and was gonna SPLIT.

I stepped out in front of his car and Jays buddy said HEY... aren't you going to write that guy with the van a NOTE that you backed into him??

He was like HUH? Excuse me?

Yeah your gonna write a note and leave it on the van.

We take down the plate numbers... and he writes his note and leaves...

We go read the note... what does it say.

    thats it...
    hahaha...
so we left a 'detailed' note with the lowdown and his plate number... hope the kid gets a rude awakening.

    Nothing got by us.

    OK.... one more...

    HOW ABOUT ****O...
in a full run saying HEY... YOU... what were you doing in my truck???

We were all parked at the memorial and I looked over and there was ****o in a dead run toward's his truck.

    These Filipino people walking away...
(I had seen them earlier getting their pics in front of everyones cars... well one had opened up ****os truck door and hopped inside)

so I went over to check it out trailing ****o-
turns out they thought the cars were part of the DISPLAY
and apologized for about 10 min saying SEE we just took pictures... hahaaha ****o scared the **** out of them...

I don't think they'll hop in any parked cars for the rest of their stay in the USA...

wow, what a cool event. The blk/white photos rock. Our Roadburner ,Jeff Patchins coupe is amazing. Wish I could have made the scene, K.C. is a beautiful area, and the rural run looked fab. Those great hot rod lineup shots are pure nostalgia. Rock-on Rodders. Sololobo

Actually I tripped 52 this year. But I got a head start on the whole car thing.
The Ol' Man started dragging me down to the stude garage on weekends way before I could walk.
A lot of you guys got started way late and are still a couple of car lengths ahead of me. But I'll catch up someday.

    32 highboy,
Your trip around the traffic circle was a hoot bro. Mrs. '****** laughed shoved me and said "look its a short track." I hadda let you in I can't even count the traffic circles I've been trapped in over the years.

I just gotta comment on the whole ego thing, ya just can't muster one up when you're with quality rodders. Its all about haveing a good time, ego and good times just don't mix.

Looks like this event was quite the blast . . . I was sitting at home all weekend doing not much of anything . . . taking cool pics of old cars and making memories would have been a lot more fun. *Sniff* Oh well . . . guess I'll whip out the credit card and go to some gold chainer event. LOL

    Later!
