So many race cars ''evolve'' over the years, that when found are not as originally built. This one appears to be very much like the 1st picture. Somewhat edgy name tells me the owner may have had an ''eff you'' at***ude! Love it. Real Super Tricks, but has both Cragar and Rocket wheel decals!

BB/FC ran on alcohol, AA/FC ran on nitromethane.

That is quite a bit of money for an old race car that probably won't certify and would need refreshing of everything. I did some searches for the driver and the compe***ion number, along with cl*** and body style. I wasn't able to stumble across any other history or pictures. It was not a deep dive, though.

  10. Maybe I am wrong, but you would have to have more money than sense to pay that kind of money for a 70's neglected race car that has maybe some local pedigree.

Take away a 5 on the price and it might sell. No way in this world is that car worth $55,000.

To the right person the driver of that car was a hero for bucking the system to be included. The year, locations raced and name of the car pretty well sum up that story. To the right person, the car and memories may be worth it. To most of us, it’s just a nice old race car that isn’t worth the price.

@snoc653 , I agree that it's a great start to a historic restoration since it seems to have been stored as raced without years of changes and updates. VERY COOL.
As @Ryan has posted over the years, the system was horribly unfair. No disagreement here. Enough said.
However, this is not a national racer or even a racer with a previous (internet) do***ented history I was able to find. I sure hope the buyer get a lot of do***entation! While I'd love to see it restored and shown, aside from Garlits there are only an incredibly rare few who even take this type of task on. Even the NHRA museum is more a showcase of others' work to revive and do***ent race history.
Check out We Did It For Love. https://wediditforlove.com/ It's going to take someone like that.
I did a couple searches and found this collection of NHRA and NASCAR rides. Never heard of it before. I hope this mention helps attendance. Looks cool!

But also did not see an IHRA or AHRA museum or other big collection with top or second tier vintage drag cars.

Looks to me a S-R type of Guy that
Played around on track once a week.
Or few times a month , Here in my area there was several guys that do this.

I do not see any Sanctioning stickers. neither
Match Racer weekend dragger for Thrill More likely if compe***ion would be AHRA or IHRA , Not NHRA
Still has a Value of 15k just in the
    Present picture,, More likely Not
NHRA or IHRA Legal , many
Out Law Tracks ,& there even roads @ night No traffic in No where .
Afew years ago I was contacted about my Tube Ch***is hard tail built in 2000
Up dated when Eric was killed.
To see if I wanted to sell , I asked how much you think it's worth he said 6k
I told him 6K are just wanting to buy wheels & Tire's ? 6k is not even half of what the rear cost . All my stuff is paid for it can sit and if I find out that I'm gonna to p*** by a certain time I'll make sure no one gets my stuff.
It was not free for me and I'm not intentionally gonna leave anybody a free winning lottery ticket
