I’ve been using an electric pump on my flatty-powered car for twenty years. Why not? It is a little noisy I guess. But I can turn the switch to power and let the bowls fill up before I hit the starter.

Last night I installed a brand new offenhauser mechanical fuel pump and today went for another test drive and actually made it back home under its own power..ran great!
I did however discover another issue..turned headlights on, they were on for a bit then shut off killing the ignition. There is a modern fuse holder with a 30amp fuse that has popped a couple times. The car really needs rewired but can't do it right now so will try and repair what I can.
