I really enjoyed dealing with QP. They was cool, and knew exactly what they were talking about.

Lost a little focus on the projects and I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately. Trying to get stuff done by myself wasn’t working like it used to. While I have 3 step sons, a grandson and 3 granddaughters, even offering to pay for their help has had very little effect on getting their help. So when the wife brought up who gets our stuff when we’re gone it became a little discouraging and work slowed way down on projects I was on a deadline to build railings for the shop deck so the new company wouldn’t cancel the insurance. When out of the blue the son of one of the wife’s friends asked if I could use any help. He helped finish that project in the 11th hour and was literally a God send. We were talking while we worked and he asked about the 51. I told him it was stalled due to lack of help. He’s been coming by at least once a week since. Doesn’t want paid just enjoys shop time. He’s a great guy and is exactly what I would want a son to be like. The 51 is moving again and as we were lamenting on our welding prowess or lack there of, he asked and brought a friend over who is a welder. More shop talk and comradery, a little help with things and things moving in the right direction again. And the solution to what to do with my stuff if anything happens to me is a whole lot clearer. The one helping expecting nothing will be pleasantly surprised while the ones expecting everything without helping will be surprised the other way. And the projects will continue and hopefully our group will grow and continue as well. It feels good to have people in the shop just enjoying being there expecting nothing but friendship and good times.

I've got the same problem here. I've got a nephew who offers to help, then shows up after dark or not at all. By the time he gets here I've already done 8 or more on the car and am done for the day.

I've even started some radical thinking of finding a club to join but I know that would end up with me helping everyone (it's in my nature) and people helping me not so much.

    I just keep plugging along.

Gave a stalled project car to a friend for him, his son and his grandsons to finish. I came to the realization while in the hospital for a week that I wasn’t going to get it finished so it was time to p*** it on.
Putting my 82 H-D back together over the winter also.
