    Orange-blue stripe Right rear turn signal/brake
    Green- Orange should be the left rear turn signal/brake
    White - blue right front turn signal
    Green-white Left front turn signal
    Blue = Flasher
    Green = stop light switch

    With the switch in the middle you should be able to hook a continuity tester or ohm meter to the green wire and have continuity to the orange-with blue stripe and the Green with orange stripe wires. That is your brake lights.

    With the tester hooked to the blue wire you should have continuity to Green-orange stripe and green-white stripe when set for left turn signal and Orange -Blue and White- blue when you have the right turn signal on.

    There is no 4 way on that switch so you don't worry about 4 way flashers for now.

  2. You've got to have the key on to test the circuit. If you are using LED, make sure you have the correct, compatible flasher, too.
    Once you get that all wired correctly, if you add an emergency flasher and separate switch, use diodes to isolate the two circuits.
    Crazy Steve and Cory at Rebel Wiring helped me tremendously in figuring out my six-wire turn signal switch from a 1960 Ford truck.

    Turn signals only work with the key on.

    This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much. I know they key has to be on for the turn signals but what about the parking lights and brakes? Those should constant power when lights are turned on correct?

    The parking lights, and the brake lights should both be powered with the key off, as long as their corresponding switches are turned on.

    With the key on or off, the parking lights won't work without the headlight switch being turned on.

    The same with the brake lights, with the key on or off, the brake lights won't work without the brake switch activated.

    With the brake light switch activated, if the turn signal is turned on for either side (key off), the side that has the turn switch turned on will not have that brake light lit up, but the other brake light will light up.

    If the key is turned on, the brake light side with the turn signal on will flash and the brake on the other side will light up without flashing.

    Oops, that is correct. Been a while since I have worked on pre 69 wiring, I forgot about the parking light deal. Sorry.

    Make absolutely sure all your grounds are good, whether that is through the bulb sockets or an actual ground wire from the switch. Bad grounds on any sort of lighting situation can cause all kinds of freaky **** to happen, some that you'd never think of.
