    I started down the road of building a Duntov 283 and committed myself to solid lifters. I've built quite a few different SBC's (including my destroked 400 Sportsman car) and never had any concern about lifter and cam failure or lifter rotation. Because of all the cam failures the last few years and because my Duntov is a pristine but original USED cam, I'm being hyper vigilant. The lifters are Howards Cam's direct lube lifters. If this cam goes bad after all this effort, I'll definitely go a different direction.

    Man, can't wait until I'm at the point of channeling the body! Am definitely listening to suggestions and logging them in my brain.

  3. Yeah I always thought when the bed was even with the top of the body it looked like they forgot to channel the bed and when lower than suggested it looked like the bed mounts collapsed lol.

    Do any of you know why some posted pictures disappear (leaving a red X), while others do not? I'm suspecting there is a file size limit, does anyone know for sure? Thanks!

    Typically the ones you see with a red X are externally hosted pics (not uploaded to the HAMB) that were removed or restricted by the external host for some reason.

    I usually upload to the cloud on Smugmug, then do a copy and paste to the HAMB. Thanks for the tip.

    OT (moving) but it does involve moving the 29 RPU and its new home.

    Loading up the A was bittersweet, that shop was great;

    The old shop was one big building that we added on to and fixed up, the new shop is several buildings, but does have potential;

    After this picture we scooted it over and piled bikes and tools around it. The shop (and Model A) both have a long way to go.

    The larger shop, 1/2 of it is insulated and heated, feeding the moving crew;

    Lots of work ahead, but it will be worth it.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

    Can you post a pic of the rear end set up. You used a rear out of a S10 parrell leaf spring. What you see how you mounted it

    Originally I was going with the parallel leaf springs that came with the S10 rear end, but they would have been too wide and interfered with the pickup bed. The more I looked and studied suspension I decided to go with the 35-36 rear trailing arms and a transverse spring.
