My philosophy was a one man shop never made any money with a broom.

Krylon I’m going to use that line!

I don't do much serious work in my shop any more, its mostly just a quick fix it 10 minute job. One day last week, while my wife was driving her car and the floor space was open, I swept up that area, and cleared off the corner of the work bench, so I was there. That was probably a semi annual clean up, or maybe a quarterly clean up...

For those of us with out understanding of a packed garage like that, how do you get them in and out of the garage when that time comes?
A packed garage to me is when I have to squeeze through the open door, being careful not to let the door hit something as I climb into the car...

I put a floor jack under the car next to the wall and get it as close as I dare to, then i drive the next one in with my head out of the driver’s window and get it as close as I can and get out of the p***enger door. And repeat for the next car. Once spring is here one of these cars will get parked in the other garage. Doing this gives me room to work in the shop garage and or park my daily inside for the winter

Ya see, ya just put a fat squeeze toy on the fattest part of the fender, and lightly push until you hear it squeak. :D

I had to go back and look at the picture again, the boxes on the roof of the yellow car are hiding all that extra space. :D
I'm a bit older and a bit larger then you are, that foot and a half would need to be at least 2' (maybe a touch more) for me. A video of me climbing over the shifter and counsel and into the p***enger seat would probably be a big hit on America's Funniest Home videos.
You do have the science of cramming lots of cool stuff into a small area down really well.
