Dougl*** refers I believe to Mitch Kim, a PNW (and arguably, the entire US) legend. I am fortunate enough to have his lines on two of my current cars. He retired at the end of last year.

I like how everyone thinks the pinstriper that did their car is the greatest of all time. :D:D

    Coo man.
    Happy Thanksgiving, Billy.
    And everybody.

I was admiring a very nice flame job against black paint. I looked closer and realized it was pinstriped with multiple colors. Light blue, light green, purple, pink...
    It was bewtifooo.

Was at an event and this old dude had a sign that said pinstriper. He was nothing but nerves, every bone shook and his hands were nervous wrecks, constant movement. Honestly I felt sorry for him and decided i'd have him do a little on the trunk of a coupe, just that--figured i could get it off fairly easy. Everyone laughed when he sat down to do it, until his hands became rocks and his work was fantastic-so good i had him do the rest of the car. Afterward, he had a line of rodders waiting for him. For years, i had folks ask who did the work, some of the best they had seen. The old saying of "never judge a book by its cover" sure fit that fella.

I’ve really been liking striped louvers lately. Thinking about doing this hood once I get the car done and painted. But worried my buddy will charge me per louver :D

Striper did a small white stripe on each louver on the PU. I like it.

I tried it and have zero talent. I found Bob Coslett in the SoCal area and he did a fantastic job on my Mysterion clone.

In the Pacific North west Mitch Kim and the late Bob Hill always turned out work that was just a few steps above the rest. Bob p***ed away in 2009 and was a true artist with a brush or paint gun.
A couple of his prints that Mcallister museum of Avation that he was involved with has listed. Screenshot (2068).png
