My buddy has a 52 Buick on a 66 Malibu frame. For some reason, when they did it, they put the master cylinder in the floor. It really has been a pain for him. He is looking to put a master cylinder/ booster on the firewall and four-wheel disc brakes. Does anyone have experience doing something similar? If so, did you buy a whole kit of some sort? Thanks, Gene.
They put the master cylinder under the floor so you did not have the ugly booster on the firewall. That being said I would just go with disc on the front. You will have to fabricate the mounting for the booster and pedal ***embly. As stated above the brake parts for a Chevelle are available at a number of places.
They used a complete rolling ch***is. But they had to move the motor and trans. I don't remember forward or rearward. I can ask if you want to know. Gene.
I don't understand moving the master cylinder. If it works why go to the work of moving it? Mounting the pedal(s) under the dash will not be easy.
