    Where were you in '62?
Certainly not driving around in a hot rod with an electric wiper conversion kit...
It is a great pic though.

on a related note and with the first episode in mind i stumbled upon quite by accident an interview by an allison martino with johnny of 'funky junk' and discussing the carnage of the calif. fire upon his property. gutting scenery. i guess this t project must be sort of a survival story and something positive to focus on.

Nice! I wonder if it's optical or really at such an angle where the hairpins (?) connect to the axle.
They are usually vertical, I wonder if this is in some way forcing the axle to stay centered or just a design choice.

I was just looking thru the old Bucket of Ugly thread. This one looks like an earlier bucket due to a few things like the narrow rears and White interior, but has more recent parts like discs up front and the dual 4 cross ram. We won't mention the writing at the bottom (shhh!). Just goes to show that once you have built one, it still gets updated and changed but may not be exactly 'era-correct' to us in the future.

BTW, I don't have all these Owners memorized like some of you. I did a search and it's been talked about before. IIRC, the son even posted here. I should have spotted that rear window! I'm trying to catch up, I might even get there in a few more decades!

saw this for sale a few years ago. maybe a dragmaster ch***is?
i'd have to check my old magazines. i happen to be thinking of making a metal inner structure for my 'gl*** t body rather than typical wood. i see this guy did as much and wonder the opinion of y'all here. seems the weight to strength ratio favors metal generally but there's the practical issue of affixing to the skin.

That Edsel grill works for me. What are those headlights? They work too.

Dragmaster frames had gussets between the rails and the front was set up with torsion bar suspension

BITD , most suppliers offered a " you weld it" option , so those could be Dragmaster rails , built to the owners preference . Ill have to look @ my old flyers about the torsion bars....
A lightweight metal frame works for attaching some things , upholstery not being one of them . AFA strength,it's a moot point vs a 4000 lb opponent

good point about upholstery. i'm sure accommodations can be made but yeah wood, uh... wood, make it easier.
