    A day early....happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Here is car #2 for a three car shirt design I'm working on. A few posts back was car #1, a '70 Camaro.
This design has a bit of a challenge. Three blue cars.

A lowered rake, custom Lincoln Continental...

    Hello,

It takes all kinds of transportation for all things family activities. The odd looking Lincoln Continental Coupe was front and center of the USA cars.
upload_2025-11-28_2-42-58.png It looked like a coupe, but had tons of blind spots and an enclosed top that gave the molded in feeling. We sat in a couple of dealer showroom cars back then and immediately did not care for the so called luxury. Although we were dressed up with shirts and dress pants, we still got the look of “Why are you here?” at***ude.

One of my friend’s mom had a Cadillac Sedan for her own car. The son did not want to drive the Cadillac sedan, but wanted to see if there were other cars, used or new that would fit the bill of a cool cruiser for us teens.
upload_2025-11-28_2-44-12.png We thought a convertible would win over his mom, as it was a cool open top cruiser and although she liked convertibles, this one was not to her liking.

So, we tried to get her to buy a nice station wagon so we could use it to go one our surf trips or camping trips. That idea fades as we got more into our own cars. Jump up 50+ years and new ideas and artwork comes into play.

One of the cars we liked during our own teen years was the series of Nomad Wagons. But, the pocket book did not have what was needed for those purchases. So, with the thought of a fancy, luxury, big cruiser car in mind, the Nomad styling came into play.

The luxury of a Lincoln Continental, but with the sporty design of a Nomad Station Wagon for all of our teenage needs. We would need plenty of room in the parking spaces of the coastal surf spots for the large family wagon, now a sporty version. AND… It had A/C to boot. Hot Summer coastal cruises in pure A/C comfort…YRMV
