Hot Rods Heavy Duty truck 283 differences?

I rotate them 180 degrees until I get more holes, then 90. Until they're two-piece style.

You guys got the OPs sock problem covered. Now for engine color Paint one side green the other orange then see how it looks then paint the engine whichever color looks best
BTW one day my dryer will puke out several years worth of socks.

Thats the part im having a hard time deciding. Ive got a couple ideas but Ill have a better vision once its a little further along in the build process and looks more like a car than parts in a pile.

I have an original 1955 265 that is Yellow from the factory, 5400 if i remember correctly

 

I like to pancake Vegas after I remove the steering box.

Black. Goes with anything. Chrome & aluminum accessories contrast nicely. Doesn't show dirt like bright colors. Oh; and please avoid gaudy colored plug wires.

 

I never saw it mentioned, the 58 to 62 283 have thicker walls and were the prffered block for the .125 overbore.
