For someone who is so concerned about how much time people are spending on the H.A.M.B vs in the garage you seem to be able to know when exactly what and when people said things here. Just say'n
Thanks RJP. That's one I've never seen and a great insight into Keith's much under-appreciated and sometimes ignored artwork.
My copy of "The Devil at Your Feet" signed by Brain Darwas all members of the (at the time) Burbank Choppers and the Alter Boys when they were in Englishtown N.J. for Mel Stulz East meets West drag race event. For some reason Keith Weesner was not at the event I met him a few years later at the 2013 Race of Gentlemen, I didn't know he was going to be there and asked if sent him the jacket in the case to keep it form getting crumpled would sign it. He agreed. When I got in back, I discovered not only had he singed it but he also had done a little doddle of himself inside the jacket.
That's really a cool thing to have...and a neat story to go with it. Having been a contributing artist for Street Rodder Mag in the "70s-'80s I knew a lot of the West Coast Automotive Artists, but I don't believe Keith and I ever crossed paths. It's funny though, a few of those early hot rod artists went on to be quite famous...while others (like me) just faded away.
