very high end build here. not a fan of Pontiacs without Pontiac motors but the owner did not ask me what I thought
I had a 69 GTO Judge in in high school. Ram Air III - 4-speed. did my first burnout ever on the test drive. mine was pretty worn out when I got it, nothing like this one.
Bunch of **** here, folks..Fake AI "Sam Elliot" voice .That's just the start. What's a hood mounted "taash" ? 2 speed cars had vacuum end carbs. 4 speed cars were mechanical linkage on end carbs. I could go on and on...
A I has the waters so muddied already, imagine how the facts will look in 20yrs. I've said it before, every YouTube video should be required to indicate A I content on it's thumbnail!
That WAS my buddy's GTO, he sold it around '76 or so. After awhile, after two other KNOWN owners, it vanished off the face of the earth, I would sure love to find it ..Mitch
A very close friend rolled up today in his newly acquired GTO. I don't know much about them but boy o boy, this car hauled ***. 400cui and Hurst shifted 4 speed. All stock, factory wheels and even a slide switch on the dash to change the tone and speakers for the radio.
Why did they install a tach in the counsel down by the shifter? That's one hell of a way to be looking when going through the gears.
I’ve owned two, a 68 convertible and a 69 hard top. The 68 long enough to figure the engine was trash, it was bought cheap because of front end damage. I unloaded it quick as at that time I had no place to do an engine build for it. 69, owned it for about a year. The one I regret mission out on back in late 71. A 66 hardtop, same color as my 66 2+2 that I owned and optioned almost identical except for it being an automatic. Looked at it in the middle of the week, went back on Saturday to seal the deal. Pontiac dealer on the west fringe of Detroit. Between the time I looked at it and went back someone had broken the vent window, unlocked it and stole the factory AM-FM out of it. Used Car Manager refused to budge on the price or to fix it “Take it or leave it” were his words, he figured he had a fish with the nineteen year old hippie (me) but he was wrong.
