I haven't tried that one but with any follow directions to the letter and don't get distracted and forget to rinse the stuff off when the instructions say to rinse it off.

General use, never seen a reason to switch from Purple Power on the DD's. Wet, apply, scrub, rinse. Eats brake dust & road grim like a champ. Wheels present as new. No, I probably wouldn't use it on a high dollar set of custom wheels, without testing first. YMMV.

Well, Meguiers is the leader in cleaners and such BUT its interesting they really push the fact that its NOT an acid. Well, what about caustic, its not an acid, has a ph of 12 and will eat thru steal.

    Hello,

Since Meguiar’s is a So Cal company, now owned by the big 3m Corporation, they know the So Cal ruling for tire cleaning products and the restrictions for homeowners. Most cities along the So Cal coast have put up restrictions for water usage and washing with products that affect street drainage. The restrictions all deal with the fluids going into the street drains leading to the local outlets to the ocean.

As testing goes along beaches to check for contaminants, these “commercial” products are suspect in the poor water ratings most folks spend hours when visiting the vast coastline. “Use gloves” tell folks something is up…

In So Cal, the commercial cleaning products commercial car washes use get recycled and not shoved into the local drains that lead to the ocean. So, please be careful where the water drains during your usage. Wheels can be cleaned without additional products, in a safe location.

Yes, So Cal has restrictions, but there are plenty of recycled water car washes all along the coast and inland cities to help with the problem. Pollution...YRMV

After I retired from my business, I worked at a Lexus dealer in Queens, New York. They had a car wash on site that they used to wash the new cars before delivery and to wash customers cars too. It recycled the water it used. I do not use anything to clean the wheels and tires on my cars except the soap that I use to wash the cars.
