    SamIam,
no, unfortunately, I/we haven't touched it yet. I am about 97% done with my Galaxie project. The last 5% has been a *****. When i finish up with the Gal, we should start working on the roadster. My brother (1/2 owner) has been finishing up his '30 roadster as well so he hasn't really had the time or money either. The last 5% of his roadster has been a ***** as well. He just dropped off his 409 at Gotelli's to get redone. Probably towards the holidays we'll start on the '29.
    Thanks, Steve

and actually, i finally got a hold of the owner/builder. Jess Alexander from Hayward is his name. now he lives in Anderson, Calif.
basically, what he told me in his letter is that he bought the car in '73 (from a used carlot in Oakland, according to the guy we bought the car from, Mike abbey) and drove it for a year or so as it was. He tore it down in '75 and redid the whole thing including all paint, upholstery and mechanicals. He painted the car himself, including the flames and stars. He street raced the roadster all over the Bay Area and Fremont Raceway. The car won first place at the Cow Palace in '75 in the "Street Roadster" cl***. He had a roll bar in it at one time that went into two "plugs" on the rear cowl behind the seat and one piece of the roolbar went down to the p***enger side floorboard. The plugs (chrome of course) are still there as well as the holder on the p***enger floor that it would attach to.
He had a 394 Olds bored to 402 in it with a Muncie and Olds rearend.
He tore it back down in '85 to redo again, unfortunately got sick, and never put it back together.

It's really, really *****en. It's not missing too much. Engine, driveline, exhaust, battery. Has all chrome suspension, interior (including matching door panels and kick panels), body parts, chrome Olds rearend, etc., etc.
Has his "race" set of wheels (magnesium) and tires (M&H racemasters) and his "street" set of wheels.
He also sent along copies of the 3 photos he has of the car in it's "done" state from back in the day.

I'm goning to try to get my scanner working.
we'll get to it one of these days.
    Steve

Here are the other two pics the guy had.
One photo looks like it was taken in the parking lot of some Hotel.
The other one looks like a car show on gr***, with a big Tee-pee in the background.
Anyone recognize anything? Anything at all?

    Nope, not built yet.
We have bought some parts for it but it's still about third in line. Other stuff keeps comin up but we'll get to it.
    Thanks,
    Steve

Well I made an offer on it earlier and he said it is sold and going to New Jersey. Honestly I am glad someone else got it! I have too many now. But it is crazy it stayed listed so long! Has everyone switched to building C10's and Resto mods? This was a No brainer of a deal! The Mag spindle Mounts were worth almost half of the asking price. I 100 percent guarantee I could have bought this for the $5400 and sold off the spindle mounts, That early Bell Auto axle and the grille shell and had the rest of the car for free. I would have probably just sold the spindle mounts and kept the rest together but I am just saying. With a deal like this sitting on marketplace for so long, either people are all building C10's or sleeping
