    I have multiple displays in my messy shop. From Ford Flathead to Varga pinups, Robert Williams prints, rough grilles (some not so rough) and Mercury valve covers. IMG_5173.jpeg IMG_5178.jpeg IMG_5179.jpeg IMG_5176.jpeg IMG_5177.jpeg IMG_4957.jpeg

    That's my dilemma. I create a lot of messes. I didn't even get moved into the shop before a transmission puked ****** fluid on the new virgin concrete. I was bummed, but then reality set in.

    I was imagining lots of dusting.
    Wondering how you guys do it.
    Feather duster? Swiffer? Tack cloth?
    Wait... of course... leaf blower.

    Mine is definitely a working shop, so things get dirty. I use a Makita 18V leaf blower for all the display stuff up on the walls, and around the edges of the shop on the floor. Shop vac around the mill, lathe and drill press band saw, etc.

    Really enjoying this thread, especially since we are in the middle of moving (a little unexpectedly, found a deal we couldn't p*** up) and leaving my almost completed shop and starting over. Never did take any pics of the old shop in it's nearly finished state, so just a few random pics of the old shop.

    Old shop was three bays, 1st bay was wife's car and motorcycle lift and work area, 2nd bay was main shop with car lift and the 3rd bay was converted carport with combo storage, work area and "bathroom". The theme was vintage sheet metal walls and kind of random wall hangings, memorabilia, etc.

    1st bay;

    2nd bay;

    3rd bay;

    New shop on moving day;

    '29 RPU looks lonely, but was soon surrounded with motorcycles and parts bins;
    new shop 3.jpg

    It's very different from the old shop, with some pluses and minuses. I'm inspired by all of your shops and the creative ideas, so am starting over with a clearer picture of how I'd like it all to look and function.

    I'll post pics of the new shop as it starts to come together in the spring, as we are heading South in a few days.

    Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
