Ba*****t decor. The gas tank is from my first Harley, a 76 XLCH. The license frame/alarm will be mounted on my 82 FLH. Bowling pin is AMF branded, my “shrine” area. Gas pump restored probably twenty years ago. On the speaker, the can of GM gear lube, I sold that to a guy probably fifty years ago, he was moving and found it in his garage and gave it to me asking if I’d refund it (all in jest)!

The Federal Director siren control,five buck garage sale item and it works. Behind that is a hose nozzle from a decommissioned fire truck from the department out west I was on in the 80’s. Just out of sight is a 30” piece of the br*** fire pole that was taken out around 1989-90, station was from the 1920’s. I used that pole a time or three in the 80’s, it’s a rush to jump, grab and slide down.

An old F100 fender that I couldn't bring myself to s****.

 

Came across this today on FB.

 

I found this in a plastic roll of movie posters, it’s about 22”x18”. I’m going to frame it, it’s really a nice piece of history.

 

Wife has a couple but they are mostly off topic so no pics. On the wall in the den is a full width taillight from a late model Lincoln wired to light up over a poster of a Mercury Marauder, on another wall is a picture od her first car, a 68 Firebird, on another wall is a collage of tickets to the long gone West Haven Raceway. On the outside of the garage
is a big Ford Service sign, So I being a chevy guy put a neon check engine light sign in the window above it.

 

Here is my latest creation. Black walnut from my firewood pile, swap meet trunk emblem, LED light.

Ever since we saw this Tahitian Red/Candy Apple Buick Skylark Convertible, my wife has always liked it.
It was hard to keep my wife from offering a sum of money to this owner of the Tahitian Red or Candy Apple Red color Buick Skylark we saw up close and personal, outside of a popular diner in Newport Beach, Lido Isle.

Here is one that fits into the month of December for this year.
Now, that would be nice if it fit in our small two car garage. our weekly cruise to check our the surf at various locations would take on a new meaning. Top down or up would be decided on the weather, of course.

But, in our tiny house, somehow, this Buick Skylark Convertible shows up around December and proudly brings along a proportional Christmas Tree all flocked and ready.

We have been putting on display, our granddaughter’s tree, ever since she was 1 year old. A special ornament with her name on it gets put up yearly and it is getting quite full.

Sometimes, the red Buick Skylark Convertible drives up to the granddaughter’s tree area for a vacation during these cold few weeks… .

Other times, the rest of the touring road trip cars show up for a cruise night.

This year, those guys are sleeping soundly in their garage drawer waiting for the next new car to show up this Christmas. In the mean time, the red Buick Skylark Convertible sits out by himself wondering where everyone is this holiday season. YRMV

 

No decorations in my house-just car parts!

 

All I can think of in the house is thi B F Goodrich Silvertown ash tray and this Gasboy pump, both of which belong to my wife. The ashtray is from her Aunt's estate and the pump was her brothers.
