Things are clipping along here, good for you.

I am going to look at 2 parcels tomorrow afternoon, but still in litigation with the water district over my front encroachment. There's a 104 acre parcel that I'm interested in to keep undeveloped. Developing on it would be a last resort, if I can't get a settlement on my current property. Only about 30 minutes from my property, so I would plan to keep it undeveloped if I decide to buy. I'm living in a small In-Law quarters about 1/2 mile from my property. Looking for property I could hunt on.

I have all of our furniture moved in my shop, and have 5 cars/trucks moved up here, only 2 left in Morgan Hill...my life has been turned upside down...

Today was one of those days. I woke up early with good intentions and everything went down hill after that. I achieved absolurtley nothing after 12 hours of laboring. Maybe tomorrow it will be more productive.

Mainly working on inside stuff. Bricked the fireplace.

Just waiting on the counter top guys to install the hearth. I have to wait until we do all of the counters at one time, so they can do it all in one trip.

I am almost down to just the kitchen. I saved the kitchen for last, hoping that maybe my skills will improve, since the kitchen is the most visible.

A sneak peek of the freight elevator. @NoSurf has been advising me on what not to do. He’s one of those engineer types….with the pocket protector and big brain.

More to come on this later.

I spent a couple of hours trying to organize a little. I had some pipe left over from the make shift closet I had in the Black Plastic Wigwam (TM), so I decided to fab up a clamp bar. Juat some flange plates and some 3/4" gas pipe.I have no idea where all my clamps are. They are in a box somewhere. These clamps are all ones that I have bought out of frustration.

I did a serious thrash on the house side. Mama Root told me that if I didn't have it ready to host Thanksgiving, I may mysteriously die in my sleep......so, I got all of the drawers built and installed. Got the counters installed, all sinks installed and stoves installed. I also got the thin brick installed on the backsplashes and the kitchen wall.

    I'll post some pics soon.

Today, I have been working on the staircase, getting it ready for the treads and risers. They are supposed to be here in a few weeks. It's kinda ****py weather, so I have been working inside.

You will have to endure the no cabinet door and drawer face look. Still waiting on those. I finished building all the cabinets though and for that I am thankful.

I am a sentimental fool, so I saved this out of my grandparents old house before we sold it. It hung in this exact place in their house. I cleaned it up and repainted it. The patent date is 1935, so I figure this one is an early 50’s model.

Thanks guys. Hopefully, I can wrap up the house side of things by the end of the year and get started on the shop. I have ordered a few things for the shop, In anticipation of finally getting back on it.

My dad always said "Poor people have poor ways." My dad never hired anyone. We had to learn to fix everything ourselves. I guess I am still that way. Thanks for the accolades.

Use it up . Wear it out . Rebuild and repeat the process.

I told em I didn’t want an LED lit front loader that sings to you. I just wanted a washer and dryer with knobs….that actually washes clothes.

Who really needs a refrigerator that tells you when your milk has gone bad and need to buy more ? Where I live there are power surges during thunderstorms. Which I was told will take out the main board on a washing machine. We had a converted coin op machine for several years until the tub developed a crack after the gear box was replaced. So far this computerized machine has survived a couple years now . But its days are numbered. It’s starting to make odd noises when spinning up to speed sometimes
