  9. For any who might be interested, cobwebbing was done by shooting unthinned paint from the gun. I only did that with lacquer so I can't say for sure that modern paint will perform the same but with a little exp. I think it will. The 58 looks better than I ever would have guessed. :)

All that Ranchero needs is a receiver and a matching speed boat, same engine.

The only El Camino I had, bought it new in ‘77, this was taken a short time later. Started out as a 305, after trashing the camshaft out of warranty I replaced it with a 350. Started out with 15X7 rally wheels, within two weeks swapped those with a friend to 15X8’s. By the spring of 79 I had a set of Corvette YJ8 aluminum wheels on it.
Had a chance in the late 90’s to get a 76 basket case, should have jumped on it.

  22. Haven’t seen one of those air filter housings for a while. Used to be a boat shop in the valley that sold them. Had one painted with Hugger Orange between the fins on my ‘64 chevelle for a while.
    Nice Camino!

I've long lost track of how many El Caminos I've had over the years. I know I've had multiples of '64, '65, '67, '68, '69, and '70s. Here's a couple of '64s I built, and a '67 and '68 I bought as shown for drivers. I have thousands of pictures archived but trying to find them all would takes weeks. I also had a very nice '65 Ranchero. Only Ranchero I ever owned, but honestly I found it lacking in almost every way compared to the El Caminos of the same vintage. I had only the one and was never tempted to get another.
