went out and tried to block some moor on this car,,,, arms ache so bad I can't grip the block and hold it to the side of the car...paying some one didn't work. just out 4k more.... best to just get rid of it...
oh well, dropped her off at the painter...lord I hate pay'n for some one to paint a car.... fingers cross..
the paint part is easy..cut and buff or re-squirt... either way it will be nice... the car is super straight..
the bumpers are painted black,... my thought was it was free to do... and would have had to buy new bumpers anyway... so when done, if I don't like it I'll just order new chrome bumpers... and the impala tailights are also black... same deal they were pitted and needed new chrome...
A buddy told me, that’s called “murdered out” when it’s all black and no chrome. I like it, works for me…
IMHO a black car's interior needs to contrast with the paint, so red would be the ticket for me. Saddle brown would also work. Adding, now I noticed it originally had a blue interior, why not stay with that?
it's green, that was the color I was doing with the satin paint....I like red....heres my 37 chevy that a 38
Right, that is exactly the kind of red I had in mind. But the more I think about it, green makes sense if only to acknowledge the car's history and it can look good - this is a Ferrari 275 interior. Maybe go completely crazy and have alligator pattern door cards
got the paint opened up... letting it sit a bit... then buff...still looking for some one to do the interior..
I've got the back gl***, waiting on putting in the head liner...finding some one to do it's a chore .... gotta be an old school guy with a steamer..
the 55 150 is the look i'm headed for..probley chrome the bumpers and head light bezels... but gonna wait till it's closer to done
