I was just going to post a response
The way it hit the Light pole right @ D.S. Frame rail drove the steering box & column pretty much to front of back rest & all the way to roof Im thinking broke drivers neck or worse . I seen post about 3pm est , happen on Friday 12 th , around 9 pm ,
Look to be a single car accident
three survivors with minor injuries except for the driver. Does not look to be a high speed impact 50ish ?
I had a Uncle get killed this way in 61 Chevy, on the way to the hospital for another relative that was in a car accident.
Was the Driver Fatality here on the
HAMB ? Looked to have been nice
    HAMB appropriate two door Nomad
Light Green or light metallic greenish?

Don't know about others, but I don't like accident threads.

They can beat other means of communicating to family and friends.
    See footnote #60
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddy_Holly

Second hand guessing is rampant in threads about them. Unless you are a collision spe******t who has first hand knowledge of this exact incident, it's speculation at best. Often it's much worse.

I don't know of a single member that enjoys loss of property or life. I'd rather discuss positive things. I'm not burying my head, just no great insight is found. A thread on shop safety, parts that have failed to watch out for or general helpful tips are going to be more useful.

yes, sadly, often the reality today.

My wife was 1st on scene 17 years ago and everyone turned around, no-one helped for several minutes, on a busy road on a busy day.
At fault driver killed his p***enger/partner, - 9 others injured in a van of tourists, 2 stopped breathing at scene but were resuscitated.
    Long hospital stays for some.

She was desperate for help, but took several minutes before a milk tanker blocked the road and stopped to help, trying to ascertain who needed the most attention, while carrying a 5 year old scared victim at the same time.

New Zealand law used to say, (possibly still does), that you must stop to see if ***istance is needed !

    @clem
I thank it was early 90's
Here in state there was law p***ed
Good Samaritan law, to protect others
That where trying to help , I do not know if that law even applies anymore things are so F up in the world,
Just like what happened to Princess Diana ,,
I personally think when a tragedy is happening or in progress and people are just filming they should be charged for accessory especially when they post it on social media

Over here the fine for filming a accident while driving past is 430 euro. Cops at the scene take photos of you and your rego number . Same amount for holding a device in hand behind the wheel. ( lots of cameras along the roads here )

The news article was on "Lone Wolf Media" site.
It could have been taken down due to some of the comments being posted, the few I read were stupid guesses, and some were getting racist..
I personally knew he driver, he was originally from New Zealand (moved to the USA back in the mid 80s) and ran a very sucessful business in Anaheim..
He was a member of the Surf City Rod and Custom Club when living here.
