that's a great find! i always ***umed that my 'gl*** body was from almquist because they are northern east coast. similar narrow flat dash like seen in a few adverts here. the speedway body has a similar (upholstery?) ridge along the top of the body.

Well as always, it could be some upstart that made a copy too. At least with each new bit of history, some of these can be tracked down a bit more. I've been a fan most of my life, but didn't dig into and do***ent these things.
While T-Buckets aren't exactly coast-to-coast machines for the most part, you can't always rely on them staying put either!:)

Jim Kellison was one of my clients. Lincoln CA was also the home to a m***ive Formica plant. He also designed and manufactured fibergl*** outhouses and the giant slides that were popular in the 1960's. It was said that Jim told Bruce Meyers after Bruce lost a suit against Jim, "Instead of paying for lawyers, you should have used the money to buy more chopper guns"!

I bought a 23-25 T body from them in 1977, think I paid less than $100, good quality, picked up at their shop/barn, nice folks to do business with, think the owner nay have raced an altered with a bantam body?wondered what happened to the molds.

i may never find out who made the moulds for the body i had made but it would be neat to compare advance fibergl*** with mine. also, neat to know a bit about hot rod history located in m***.

Sometime shortly after high school, a HS buddy of mine got out of the Air Force and bought a T bucket. It was well done with a Ford FE in it but he wanted better headers. So I built him just what he wanted right in the carport at his apartment building. He was a great guy but he would only eat hamburgers. Yep, morning noon and night, hamburgers. His wife loved to cook so she was delighted to have someone to cook her specialties for when I was there building headers. Good memories, eating like a king while working on a friend’s hot rod.
This car really reminds me of Mike’s T. But I think his had a pickup bed, I could be mistaken.

I keep telling myself that I need to stop looking at this thread. It’s messing with my mind.
I found the perfect rescue T-bucket near me and the price recently dropped into my “gotta-buy-it” range. I have no room for it and other projects that would suffer if I bought it. Dang…..

@bchctybob , you could just go over and find all the faults that would make it a no-go. Of course you run the risk of it being a great lil runner. Then it's a matter of offering a lower number in cash with the truck and trailer outside. ;):D
