Got a 1970s stock Ford 302 in a 32 roadster and the fan has always been too low. Is there anyone making a part that raises the fan about 4" - 6" above stock height?
    Thank you

All I know to do is put an electric fan on the car. If you do not want it to show then put it in as a pusher in front of the radiator.

I've made fitted shrouds to get around this problem...have one in my heap. Not a fan of elect. fanso_O

  5. I've got the same issue. The 13-inch diameter fan in front of my 351W only comes up to about the lower third of the radiator so I'm going to fabricate a shroud and see if that will pull air through the upper two-thirds of the radiator. It runs at about 190+ degrees right now after running it in the garage for 15-20 minutes. I'm not running a thermostat right now, but I think with a 170-degree thermostat and the shroud it should bring the high temps down 10-15 degrees. I know that wishing doesn't make it so.

I’m not a huge fan of electric fans myself but sometimes you have to do what you have to do. I personally don’t like fan shrouds just because they are a pain to deal with when you’re working on a motor and they look like an afterthought. But at my age the fans are kinda a necessity for me because I usually run a/c on all of my cars.

As far as I know no one makes a riser for Ford V8 289-351 ,But I have thoughts ,
Tandem a spindle with inner & outer bearing for fan & pulley above water pump with a
    5mm or V belt 0ff the waterpump pulley .
Like thinking of use , ideal of F-H gen fan set up ,
With use of gen or Not .
Or some one with 3d to make a off set
Adaptor of timing cover where pump mounts , with internal bolts ,
You need to be creative but there's ways to accomplish many things, & lathe ,mill
    Help's ,,
Just set back & study , make sketches .
I have other Ideals , but have noway to describe in writing ,
The Wright Brothers made a wind tunnel with Hacksaw blades!

My mechanic is telling me the shroud is my option too.
Im pretty sure he can make it look really good.
I should have been looking more closely at the small block Ford cars at all the shows I go to.
thank you for your feed back..all good.

Okay here’s an option how about sneaking in a small pusher fan where the 302 doesn’t cool well and keep the fan on the motor. That way nobody will know the difference. Also put it on a switch if you want to and only use it when you’re in heavy traffic or super hot days. Just thinking…..
