ATTN : MODERATORS : For my own education: I posted an ad here yesterday to sell my 1956 Continental, & had to make n immediate correction, but now the ad has been removed... What errors did I make in the ad that caused the removal?? I would like to know so if I want to use this thread again, I'll know what not to do! I was able to post over on "Cars for Sale", so I'm looking for information, & NO, I'M NOT TRYING TO START A FIGHT : JUST GET INFORMATION SO I DON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM AGAIN LATER!!

I had a '60 Traveler (woodie) One of the most fun cars I ever owned. I built an 1,100 cc Sprite engine, Angela front brakes and did some suspension work. I built a set of wheels using Morris centers & 14" Chevy station wagon outers. Cool looking and a kick in the Oakland hills & the Mother Lode.

I've fought fires from a truck pretty much like this one. That was back in the mid-80s, long after the engine should have been retired. It still worked, but damn, the steering was terrible and the brakes even worse!

 

I’d buy the Morris woody just to get the drip rails!!

My Grandfather joined the Searsport FD on 1941, and they bought a 1941 Chevy fire truck. It was his favorite, and he always drove it in the town parades and to fires. When he p***ed away in 1992, it was brought to his funeral. They still have it and use it.

You could sell off the sedan and extra parts and have a cheap Convertible project and lots of replated parts
