Technical 1938 Chevy fender gravel guard/moulding ID

Could use some help IDing these moldings on this 38 Chevy business coupe. My dad used to own this car and found them in the trunk when he bought it. He had to sell the car but is since building another 38 and really wants to find these.

I’ve poured through tons of resources but no luck. Doesn’t look like this was a GM accessory. Maybe JC Whitney or homemade? Hoping to find a lead and make his dream a reality.
