We went down to the swap meet/cars for sale event yesterday. A beautiful day, loads of parts and cars. Prices seemed fair. I only took a few pics. IMG_6886.jpeg IMG_6878.jpeg IMG_6884.jpeg IMG_6877.jpeg IMG_6880.jpeg

Note: I only took a pic of that hemi because of the vented valve cover, there were lots of good parts too.

How much for that '57 Ford Wagon? Love it! Unwritten rule #1 when taking images of "For Sale" cars, always take picture of sign.:D

Always a good time. Went one year looking for a hood for a Fairlane, drove a Vette home.

Been there once a few years ago. Long way for me but my daughter was living in the area then. Great Swap meet .Was doing a 51 coupe then and found lots of goodies. Lots of walking.Would love to go again for sure. Thanks for posting.

How does Moultrie compare to Pate in size? How about as a comparison of the "flea market" vs "car parts" swap meet factor? I've been to Pate 4 or 5 times but each year it seems more and more spaces are occupied by people who aren't selling anything but just buying/occupying a spot so they can park in the swap meet itself. That makes for a lot of extra walking without anything to see (or buy).

I’ve been to both many times over the last 20 years. I think Moultrie is the better meet. They are far more organized with better facilities and food.

Pate is not very organized in the way they set up the vendors. Lots of empty spaces and no real order to the vendor set up. Pate seems to have an excessive amount of vehicles & RVs in the vendor area. Lots of complaints this year about trash and port a John’s. Both were not serviced and just downright disgusting.

As far as the Flea Market vs Parts, I would say Pate has a lot more yard sale items, a lot more used clothes and second hand stuff. The parts quality is much better at Pate. The environment in the south takes a serious toll and the parts and cars reflect that.

Moultrie has the better car coral hands down. Not unusual to have 800+ cars for sale. Pate only has a few dozen cars for sale in the car coral. There are a lot of cars for sale, but they are in the vendor spots vs a car coral.

I’ve done well at both as a vendor and customer. Moultrie seems to be growing in size and popularity. Believe this year was a record for size and attendance. Pate on the other hand is the same if not declining in size. Weather last couple years has impacted Pate on at least one of the days. Regardless, both are huge and wouldn’t hesitate to hit either one of them.

@WTF really (Owen Barnes) and Bill Nabors from NE Alabama are regular vendors at Moultrie. Maybe they could chime in on this?

I was there as a buyer this fall on Saturday. Well worth the 5 hour drive for me.

The other thing Moultrie has going for it is a lot of the big vendors go because the following week the go to Daytona.
