Looks nice and seller has advertised as a Model A Phaeton . Far from. He really has'nt a clue. It has a model A engine transmission and wheels and thats about it. Radiator surround looks to be camouflaged by the stone guard. Wheelbase is longer , has springs on all four corners and telltale hole at the rear of a original gastank filler. Gas cap at windscreen looks fake. I have put some red arrows in that do point to eventual telltale ID points. Most interesting is the curved tops of the hood louvres and the wide hood hinge. Also the little curved drop in the swageline near the windscreen post. Just one lousy pic of the firewall with a thin moulding, certainly not a model A firewall. Bumpers might be new made.
No external door hinges. Budd bodies were built that way. Dodge used them, also Overland(Willys). The fire wall looks Mopar-ish. So does that wide hood hinge detail(Desoto)
First guess and I think I got it. https://topcl***iccarsforsale.com/chrysler/497533-chrysler-pheaton-1928-series-65.html
Very fast guys. The blue Chrysler is a dead ringer but after going through google images with a DeSoto search i came up with a few 1928/30 DeSoto exactly the same. So whats the conection with Chrysler and DeSoto ?
