The High School teenage daily drivers that most could not afford due to high costs...

    Hello,

Two friends from high school had these greenish new station wagon and a 4 door hardtop sedans as family cars. We were able to see and drive in them as the teenage experiences were available. Hitch a ride from a teenage recreation center to the local drive-in restaurant parking lot to complete the evening activities, etc. was a common occurrence. Teenagers piling in all of the seats for a cool cruise in Bixby Knolls. Not fast cars, but cool (AC) cruising for the hot summer drives and activities.

But, that 4 door Pontiac Sedan and 61 Olds Station Wagon was lacking in teenage style. So, many years later, various hot rods were drawn and one stood out to be a Christmas era hot rod cruiser. A custom 1961 Oldsmobile El Camino made from a station wagon. Since they use the same ch***is and running gear, it was a modification of a factory design.

The 1961 Olds station wagon was ripe for a custom change. The styling was good and the El Camino model was non-existent at the time. The cost of the station wagon was well beyond our teenage means… but our friend had an inside trick… her dad owned the Oldsmobile dealership. Ha!

On a lowered rake with air shocks in the rear…

Presents of all sizes are able to fit into the rear area and of course, a red 1961 Oldsmobile El Camino would be a one of a kind custom cruiser. Thanks for the cool memories of those old 1961-62 family transportation cruises… YRMV

One of MYUNCLES worked at a salvage yard. He shared salvaged treasures like a spittoon, stainless steel fire extinguisher, stainless steel basins, and a WWI doughboy helmet. He had some good stories, but I don't remember any stories about him finding aliens. I'm sure he would have felt right at home in a place like URUNCLES ENTERPRISES!
I tracked down five aliens. The one with bloodshot eyes must have found a bottle stashed under the seat!
