    “with” turned into “willing”

    Oh well;)

I’ve a set of TFS 195 75 CC heads. Bit of a story how I came into them, so won’t bore anyone with it.
I’m picking of a SBC 350 this week, and I’d like to put these heads to use.
Crunching numbers on Wallace racing, if the block is zero decked with flat top pistons, it’s around 9.2 static CR.
    Say a mild cam.

Is it a waste of these heads, I don’t need to squeeze every bit of obtainable power out of this engine, but certainly don’t want to turn it into a slug, and once the block is decked, I don’t want to pull the engine and use dished pistons, pay for balancing again, etc.

I guess another thought would be to just square the block and running a domed piston, but would still require a tear down
And more $$ if I needed to change it up.
    Thanks.

Are you sure they’re 75cc. There doesn’t seem to be any listing for those heads with that chamber volume.

    You could skim the heads.

That’s what I was told. I too looked through Summit, and couldn’t find a TFS 195 open chamber head.
When I get up later I’ll open a box, should be a part number on them for me to verify.

    Might be these

Says 72 cc chambers and 75 cc exhaust runners. “Not available “.
Maybe not produced anymore. I have had them for a few years.

In my opinion good heads will make power no matter what compression ratio you have, camshaft selection is more important in relation to the compression ratio.

Open chamber heads are not efficient and not really recommended for performance use. Horrible things so I'll take one for the team and offer to take those horrible open chamber heads off of your hands if you wish. ;)

Those look like pretty closed for an open chamber head...

This why I mentioned I didn’t know what I looked at a few years back.
But hey, thanks for the offer, I’ve a spot for them though!;)
