History during and pre ww2 customs and rods

One of the dream rides - Sal Cacciola's 38 Chevy Westergard Style kustom.

Just love this time period.

 

Alot of my inspiration to start this thread and to eventually build a pre war era custom comes from Westergard, Jimmy summers, Frank Kurtis, and DuVall which oddly with the influx of traditonal pre war customs that have came out the past few years no one really talks about anyone besides either Westergard or DuVall, and my mission so far is not to just uncover more customizing from that era and what car guys drove but also find out whats been hidden all these years, small fine details that makes it true to period

 

Westergard had "it".

 

It's a wonder there were any unmodified 35-36 Fords left after that time.
