Another 37 photo (peep that 35 Chevy in the background from the photos i gathered those were pretty common 40s custom cars too but mainly with Pachucos lowering them and rolling flipper bar hubcaps, skirts, se**** blankets, and fox tails hanging from a tall cowl antenna curved along the A pillar)

Not being too much into customs I was struck by the fact that they started chopping them in the pre war time frame. I thought that came about in the 50's. I also noticed that there are not many T's or A's like after the war/50's. But that maybe just the selection of photos provided.

as what i can put together Model As as customs phased out after the war alot and they only became rods or show rods now as for Ts they went away for awhile too until coming back with a bang after the kookie kar and tweedy pie debuted in the later 50s and the big T fibergl*** body boom of the 60s and 70s, but this is a generalization as Model As and Ts have always been around in customizing history just their popularity was decreased and increased after a number of years

I think it was author Henry Felson who called cars with lots of geegaws bolted on, "gook wagons".
