15-20 years ago you could buy just about any 30-31 model very nicely restored original for less than $10,000 or close, have a TCI complete frame delivered to your home with the engine/trans mounts you requested. Install the power train swap the bodies and add wheel/combo you liked and be on the road pretty quickly for a reasonable cost. Plus rolling stock ch***is/engine to sell.
I think any are still on the road and now sell for what the owner put in it!

Many were made into drag cars like mine was in the early 60's. I love Model A's, ever since I was a kid. WIN_20240424_15_59_41_Pro.jpg

Barely in the picture is a beige & brown A coupe I helped my buddy Tom build back in the late '70s/early '80s. No cell phone cameras to capture pictures like now-a-days. Nothing real special about the car itself; other than the memories it holds. Used to take my young daughter over to his garage and she'd play in a corner while we worked. Later I ended up driving it the Grand Ave parade and she got to ride in the rumble seat; can't remember if my son was old enough to go with. Sorry to see it go when he sold it; but after I helped him with a '27 coupe and later on with a Hudson. Time moved on, he's gone now; but thoughts of the good times remain.
